Brown’s overtime goal lifts Easton past Fort Fairfield

FORT FAIRFIELD — Hunter Brown scored with 1:49 left in the first overtime on Saturday to lift Easton to a 2-1 boys soccer victory over Fort Fairfield in two overtimes.

Logan Halvorson scored 34 seconds into the game off an Ian Sotomayor assist for the Bears.

Lance McKenney scored off a Carter Shaw corner kick for Fort Fairfield.

Madawaska 6, Van Buren 1

At Van Buren, Ian Lee scored four goals to propel the Owls to victory.

Sam Cyr and Ethan Wetmore each notched a goal and an assist for Madawaska, while Travis Thibeault added an assist. Tim Deschenes made six saves on eight shots.

Dominic Belanger scored off a Noah Lajoie assist for Van Buren. Derek Grivois made 10 saves and faced 18 shots.

Girls Soccer

Fort Fairfield 4, Easton 0

At Fort Fairfield, Janae Libby and Logan Bubar scored two goals each to power the Tigers to victory.

Libby tallied a goal in each half for Fort Fairfield and added an assist, while Bubar converted twice in the second half. Teresa Maynard and Kailanny Hernandez added assists.

Megan Jellison made one save on two shots and Sarah Watt made two stops on two shots.

Hannah Ferris and Blake Bradley teamed up to make 15 saves on 27 shots for Easton.
