SOUTH PORTLAND – Yolande Daigle Fogg, 83, loving wife, mother, nurse and caretaker passed away peacefully Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013.
Born July 13, 1930, in Fort Kent, she was the second child and oldest daughter to Irenee H. Daigle and Leona M.(Martin) Daigle.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert A. Fogg Sr.; daughter, Susan P. Fogg; and two brothers, Martin and Roderick Daigle.
She is survived by her son, Peter H. Fogg of Tilton, N.H.; a daughter, Elizabeth “Betsy” J. Fogg of Boscawen, N.H.; granddaughter, Michelle L. Fogg of Somerset, Mass., two grandsons, Scott R. Tilton-Fogg and Seth R. Tilton-Fogg of Tilton, N.H.; great-grandson, Nathan J. Linhares of Somerset, Mass.; two brothers, Rudolph Daigle of Madawaska and Elmer Daigle of Fort Kent; a sister, Joan Kent of Madawaska; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Yolande graduated from Wisdom High School in St. Agatha and St. Mary’s Nursing School, Lewiston, where she met lifelong friends Georgette, Gloria, Pauline and Reina. While raising her family she worked many years as a nurse in the float pool at Maine Medical Center. Yolande was always there at the drop of a hat for family, friends and neighbors in need. Yolande enjoyed playing bridge at various venues in South Portland, her lifelong home, and Cape Elizabeth. She will be sadly missed by all.
