GRINDSTONE – Robert Manfred Bellfleur Sr., 78, died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at his home in Grindstone. He was born March 22, 1935, in Millinocket, the son of Albert and Clara Bellfleur.
Robert worked in the Millinocket mill before moving to Rochester, N.Y., to continue a career in the Construction Industry. He was a part of the local union. Robert served in the Army in the Korean war.
He is survived by two children, Robert Bellfleur Jr. and companion, Sherry Burks, of Millinocket, and Robin Bellfleur of Dallas; a grandson, Justin Walker; granddaughters, Rachel Walker and Katie Walker, all of Dallas; two brothers, Al Bellfleur of Millinocket and Stanley Bellfleur of Harrisburg, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his wife, Letha Bellfleur; sisters, Rella Bellfleur, Theresa Fitzpatrick, Mable McClusky, Blanche Kane, Shirlene “Tootsie” Morrison and Lenora McAtamney; and a brother, Percy “Tunny” Bellfleur.
Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, with Deacon Dan Watson officiating.
