Knitting for babies

Showing off tiny caps they knitted to donate to the Eastern Maine Medical Center neonatal intensive care unit are (from left) Ruth Carter and Phyllis Nodine, residents of the Phillips-Strickland House in Bangor, and Maurine Michaud, a resident of Boyd Place in Bangor. To date, they have made and donated more than 70 baby hats. The women anticipate a visit from Terry Sleeper of EMMC who will pick up the caps for distribution at the hospital.
