Plane crashes into Kennebec River, four escape injury

BINGHAM, Maine — No one was injured after a four-seater plane crashed into the Kennebec River near Gadabout Gaddis Airport on Tuesday afternoon, according to Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland.

The Maine State Police is investigating the crash.

Four people were on the plane that landed in the river behind North Country Variety, said McCausland. No one was hurt.

The Maine Warden Service is assisting state police with the investigation, Cpl. John MacDonald said in an email.
