Bangor man accused of threatening to harm girlfriend

By Ryan McLaughlin, BDN Staff

BANGOR, Maine — A local man was charged with making threats to harm his girlfriend on Thursday evening, police said.

George Innocenti, 45, was summoned for domestic violence criminal threatening, a Class D misdemeanor, but not arrested, according to Bangor police Lt. Paul Edwards.

Officer Kim Donnell had responded to the couple’s residence at 8:45 p.m., according to Edwards, and the victim explained that Innocenti had threatened to do bodily harm to her.

By the time the officer had arrived on the scene, Innocenti had taken off in his vehicle, Edwards said. The lieutenant added that “it’s been an ongoing issue with them.”

Later on, police found Innocenti and charged him with domestic violence criminal threatening, Edwards said.
