Sylvio Soucie

OLD TOWN AND EAGLE LAKE – OLD TOWN and EAGLE LAKE – Sylvio Soucie, 95, died peacefully Aug. 14, 2013 at Mercy Home, Eagle Lake. He was born Jan. 3, 1918, in Winterville, a son of Philiip and Beatrice (Pelletier) Soucie.

He was a World War II veteran having served with the U.S. Army and was a member of the VFW and Holy Family Catholic Church, Old Town.

He was predeceased by his wife, Pearline (Ouellette) Soucie in 2001; brothers, Oscar, Ray, Edward, Romeo; and sisters, Leona, Mamie, Aggie, and Diane. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at Parish of the Ressurection, Holy Family Church, Old Town. Friends may call at Birmingham Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until time of dismissal for church. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Immediately following all services, a light luncheon and continued fellowship will be served in the Parish Hall.
