BANGOR, Maine — Wednesday’s rain storms have caused changes in the schedule for games at the Senior League World Series at Mansfield Stadium with the game involving Maine District 3 champ Bangor being pushed back to an approximate start of 7 p.m.

The day’s first game between U.S. Southwest and Europe & Africa, originally scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., was delayed by rain and didn’t conclude until 4 p.m., with U.S. Southwest champ Laredo, Texas, beating Europe & Africa champ Emilia, Italy, 5-4.

The day’s second game, between Asia-Pacific and Canada, will begin at 4:30 p.m., followed by the Bangor game against U.S. Southeast champ Martinez, Ga.

The day’s final game between Latin America and U.S. East will follow the Bangor game if tourney organizers believe that final game can conclude by 1 a.m. If not, it will be rescheduled for Thursday at 9 a.m.
