SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine — A 48-year-old South Portland man was arrested Saturday night at the Super 8 Motel on Main Street and charged with yelling at five young children and several adults while wearing no pants.

Bruce E. Campbell, whose address is listed as the motel, reportedly became annoyed by the noise the children — ages 1 to 10 — were making, “and stepped out, pantless, and started having a belligerent commentary, expressing his thoughts about the noise,” Lt. Frank Clark of the South Portland Police Department said Tuesday.

Campbell was arrested and charged with indecent conduct and visual sexual aggression against a child — the latter charge for exposing his gentials to a child.

Campbell was arraigned on Monday and remained at Cumberland County Jail on Tuesday afternoon, held on $560 cash bail and pending a Maine pretrial contract, according to a jail official.
