Coral Mariette Clifford

NAPLES, Fla. – The family of Coral Mariette Clifford (Berkeley) invite friends, former colleagues and other acquaintances to attend Coral’s memorial service in Unity on Friday, August 16 at 1 pm at Unity Union Church, 13 Depot St. An interment at Unity Cemetery and reception at Unity Playhouse will immediately follow the memorial.
Coral, beloved mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother peacefully passed away at age 90 surrounded by family and friends at her Naples, Florida home on Friday, March 22, 2013. She was born on July 28, 1922, to Arthur and Cora (Brown) Berkeley in Bridgeport, CT. She married the love of her life Bert on July 13, 1943, and together they moved to Unity. Coral worked as a Post Master and bus driver while raising three children and helping Bert on the family farm. Later, she became Director of Unity Telephone Company and Director of the Clifford Charitable Foundation.
Coral will be dearly missed by her loving family including her daughter and son-in-law Coral-Jeanne and Rick O’Connor of Naples; sister-in-law Arlene Clifford of Falmouth, ME; nephews Arthur Berkeley of Stratford, CT and Gary and Scott Aaron; nieces Meryl Aaron, Judy Lee of Barrington, NH, Marianne Urquhart of Corea, ME and Peggy Young of Yarmouth, ME; grandchildren, Bert Clifford of Panama City, FL, Cullen Oxton and his wife Bonnie of Cummings, GA, Allison (Clifford) and her husband Gregory Morrill of Upton, MA, Leslie (Clifford) and her husband Matthew Plunkett of Ayer, MA, George O’Connor and his wife Michelle of North Reading, MA, and Patricia (O’Connor) and her husband Shawn Carlson of Dilworth, MN; great-grandchildren, Alexis and Nicholas Clifford, Laura Domigan and Logan and Colby Oxton, Maxwell, Charles and Bennet Morrill, Casey, Brady and Madelyn O’Connor, Jonathan and Ellison Plunkett, and Coralynn and Lincoln Carlson. She is preceded in death by husband Bert Clifford; son Gregory and daughter Shirley (Clifford) Adams, sisters Emma (Berkeley) Drew, Shirley (Berkeley) Aaron and brother Wellington Wilkins Berkeley.
