KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine — Two men were arrested early Sunday morning in suspicion of breaking into a vehicle in the Goose Rocks Beach area of town, police said.

Anthony Paro, 21, and Eric Wallace, 26, both of Kennebunk, are facing a charge of burglary of a motor vehicle, according to Kennebunkport police Chief Craig Sanford.

Police were called to a Wildwood Drive residence at 1:30 a.m. Sunday after residents observed two men going through their vehicle, Sanford said.

Shortly after arriving on scene, Kennebunkport police found Paro leaving the scene on foot and Wallace attempting to leave in a vehicle, the police chief said.

Both suspects were arrested, Sanford said. In addition to the motor vehicle burglary charge, Wallace is also facing a charge of theft and operating while suspended.

More charges are expected for both men as the investigation continues.
