DEXTER, Maine — Dexter police went to a Pleasant Street address to perform a bail check on one person and wound up with three arrests on Tuesday.

Dexter police Officers Gary Morin and Allen Drew arrived at 93 Pleasant Street at 9:33 p.m. on Tuesday, Chief Kevin Wintle said on Thursday.

Joshua Covell, 34, of Dexter was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of schedule Z drugs.

Matthew Calhoun, 22, of Dexter and Reva Cowette, 25, of Detroit were arrested on outstanding warrants for unpaid fines.

All were taken to the Dexter Police Department, where they made bail.

The person being checked on was not present at the residence.

“It’s unusual to do a bail check [on one person] and end up with three people [arrested],” Wintle said.

Wintle and Detective Sgt. Alan Grinnell assisted in the arrests.
