On a hot day, is there a better treat than ice cream?

Folks on the Bangor waterfront can sate their sweet tooth now that Wild Cow Creamery’s food truck has opened, offering cones and ice cream cookie sandwiches to hungry passersby and concert-goers.

The creamery, opened by Hampden residents Sarah Wilder and Ryan Cowan, has seven regular flavors, including chocolate, vanilla, peach, lemon, strawberry, mint chocolate chip and butter pecan. All handmade, all of which can be served alone or sandwiched between two cookies. Doesn’t a ginger cookie with peach ice cream sound tasty?

Wilder and Cowan’s truck can be found most days on the waterfront, in between the public parking lots, from around lunchtime until dusk, through the end of the summer. They join Pompeii Pizza as the second food truck at the site. Like them on Facebook for more information.
