By Ryan McLaughlin, BDN Staff

ORONO, Maine — A minor rear-end collision led to a Bangor woman going to jail for operating under the influence on Thursday, police said.

Angela Moreland, 51, of Bangor allegedly rear-ended another vehicle in the traffic circle near the corner of Stillwater and Forest Avenues in Orono around 9:15 a.m. Thursday, Orono police Capt. Josh Ewing said.

Ewing said no injuries were reported in the accident.

Responding officers determined that Moreland was under the influence, and she was placed under arrest and brought to Penobscot County Jail, the police captain said.

Moreland has since been released on bail.
