Gate opening for Lambert and Bentley Bangor show delayed because of storm; concert still on

BANGOR, Maine — Waterfront Concerts officials are asking patrons to stay out of Darling’s Waterfront Pavillion for the time being, as a thunderstorm is expected to hit Bangor around 5:15 p.m. Friday.

The gate opening has been delayed, according to an announcement from Robbie Snow of Waterfront Concerts. Gates were scheduled to open at 5 p.m. for the Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley show, with performances starting at 7 p.m. The concert time has not been changed.

“For the safety of all patrons, artists and staff, we recommend returning to your vehicle or seeking other safe shelter until the storm passes,” Snow wrote. “Please turn to local radio, follow our social media sites or download our new WFConcerts smartphone app to stay updated on when the venue will be opening. The show will continue as scheduled after the storm passes.”
