Louise M. (Thompson) Giddings

BANGOR AND BREWER – Louise M. (Thompson) Giddings, 75, died unexpectedly July 30, 2013, after a short illness at a Bangor hospital. Louise was born Dec. 12, 1938, in Harrington, daughter of Raymond and Helen (Grant) Thompson. Louise was a caring person, devoted aunt and friend to all who knew her.

She is survived by her stepson, Mark Roberts and wife, Maddy, of Orrington; stepdaughter, Melanie Gray of Bangor; three stepgrandsons, Josh Roberts of Hermon, and Zane and Matt Gray of Bangor; stepgranddaughter, Sarah of California; aunt, Gwen Grant and family of Harrington; four nieces, Helena Hunt and husband, Stanley, of Burnham, Sylvia Libby and husband, Glenn, of Jonesport, Rebecca Pennock and husband, Jon, of Palmyra, and Kara Stanley and husband, Joe, of New Hampshire; several other nieces and nephews; as well her special friend, Bette Brehm of Bangor. Louise also leaves behind her dog, Midnite. Louise was predeceased her parents; a very special man in her life, fiancé, William “Bill” Roberts of Brewer; sister, Maxine (Spencer) Young of Millinocket; and uncle, Russell Grant of Harrington.

A graveside service celebrating Louise’s life will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5, at Woodlawn Cemetery, North Main Street, Brewer, with the Rev. Art Gowie officiating. Arrangements by Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer.
