Hartland to interview six candidates for town manager position

By Alex Barber, BDN Staff

HARTLAND, Maine — Hartland’s Board of Selectmen will be interviewing six candidates for its town manager position this week.

Interim Town Manager Chris Littlefield said the board met during executive session on Monday evening to review resumes for the position that became open after its former town manager, Susan Frost, left to become the finance officer and human resource director for the town of Madison.

Frost gave her notice two weeks ago, he said.

The board received 26 applications. The first three candidates will be interviewed on Wednesday evening and the other three on Thursday evening, said Littlefield.

He couldn’t give a timeframe for when a town manager might be selected, he said.

“It depends on if this group interviews well,” said Littlefield. “We’ve interviewed in the past and had to put out for more applications. The goal is to do it as soon as possible.”
