N.H. father-son duo accused in home invasion: Police say woman in her 80s tied to her bed

By Andrea Bulfinch, Foster's Daily Democrat

NEWINGTON, N.H. — The father and son duo currently incarcerated at the Strafford County jail — the younger for an alleged strong-armed robbery and the two of them for a church burglary — are now suspects in a Newington home invasion, according to law enforcement officials.

Jonathan Richardson, 41, and his son, Justin Richardson, 18, both of 105 Whitehouse Road #33, are wanted in connection on burglary charges during the July 8 home invasion.

According to, the two tied a woman in her 80s to her bed and “ransacked” her home.

Newington Police Chief Jon Tretter told that the two made off with some cash and had untied one of the woman’s hands before leaving her first-floor residence.

Tretter added the woman did not report the crime until the next day.

Both men were charged in connection with a July 6-7 burglary at St. Mary Church in Dover, and Justin Richardson was charged days later with being involved in a strong-armed robbery that took place in the area of Fourth and Grove streets, also in Dover.
