Wells man nabbed in controlled delivery of 22 pounds of pot

DOVER, N.H. — A Maine man was expected to be arraigned at Dover Circuit Court on Wednesday after police reportedly conducted a controlled delivery of approximately 22 pounds of marijuana on Tuesday.

James Barnes, 30, of Wells, Maine, is charged with one count of possession with the intent to distribute marijuana.

The delivery was conducted by the New Hampshire State Police Narcotics and Investigations Unit in conjunction with the Dover Police Department.

According to police, Barnes refused bail and is being held at the Strafford County House of Corrections pending his arraignment.
