Man who led Bangor police on high speed chase, hit house indicted

BANGOR, Maine — A 38-year-old local man who last month allegedly led police on a high-speed chase in a stolen car that ended when he crashed the vehicle into a house was indicted Wednesday by the Penobscot County grand jury.

Vladimir F. Zintchenko of Bangor was indicted on two counts of theft by unauthorized taking, and one count each of eluding an officer, aggravated criminal mischief, operating after suspension and criminal speeding.

An arraignment date has not been set.

Zintchenko was arrested early on June 6 after he crashed the stolen car into a house at 232 Grove St., according to a previously published report. He allegedly stole the car on Dartmouth Street.

In an unrelated case, a Portland man and Caribou woman were indicted on drug charges stemming from a yearlong criminal investigation by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency that culminated with the pair’s arrest March 29 in Bangor, according to a previously published report.

Andrew Morrison, 23, was indicted on one count each of attempted aggravated trafficking in oxycodone and hyrdromorphone, unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, violation of condition of release and criminal forfeiture of U.S. currency.

Angel M. Nibby, 52, was indicted on one count of attempted aggravated trafficking in oxycodone and hydromorphone and three counts of criminal forfeiture of U.S. currency.

George Carvajal, 22, Bangor, two counts of unlawful trafficking of scheduled drugs, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, criminal forfeiture of U.S. currency.

Joshua Clark, 25, Holden, two counts of assault.

Brian M. Collins, 29, Dexter, two counts of domestic violence assault, violation of a protective order, obstructing report of a crime or injury.
