Old Town woman with lengthy criminal record accused punching boyfriend in face

By Ryan McLaughlin, BDN Staff

BANGOR, Maine — A woman who police say has a lengthy criminal record was arrested Friday afternoon after an assault on her boyfriend.

Rosa Kennard, 47, of Old Town apparently punched the man in the face several times during an argument, according to Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards.

The sergeant said officers were sent to a Pine Street address shortly after 5 p.m. Friday when the assault was reported.

Kennard was intoxicated, according to Edwards, and a witness stated to police she punched the victim in the face frequently.

Police took Kennard into custody and booked her for domestic violence assault, Edwards said. She has since been released on bail.

According to BDN archives, Kennard’s record dates back to 1995, when she was accused of trafficking in marijuana and methamphetamine.
