Bangor woman arrested after allegedly assaulting family member

By Ryan McLaughlin, BDN Staff

BANGOR, Maine — An argument between an intoxicated Bangor woman and a male family member early Saturday ended with the woman under arrest, police said.

The man had apparently wanted Denise Green out of a Main Street residence shortly after 1 a.m., but rather than comply, Green allegedly assaulted the man, Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said.

The sergeant said it wasn’t clear what sparked the argument between the two. He added the residence was trashed.

When police questioned the victim, the man had scratches on his neck that indicated he was attacked, the sergeant said.

Green was taken into custody and charged with domestic violence assault. She has since been released from Penobscot County Jail.
