SKOWHEGAN – On the morning of July 15, 2013, Catherine “Cate” Kiedrowski, 46, died at her home, after a courageous battle with cancer. Cate was born Nov. 4, 1966, in Bad Homburg, Germany. She was the second of three daughters born to parents, Stephen and Rosemary Kiedrowski.
She graduated from Skowhegan Area High School in 1985, and also had a certificate in respiratory therapy from Kennebec Valley Community College. Catie loved animals and for most of her adult life she worked at the Frohlich Dairy Farm, Norridgewock, which she helped manage. She also found time to enjoy baking, gardening, watching movies and attending concerts.
She is survived by her parents, Stephen Kiedrowski of Skowhegan and Rosemary Montagu and husband, Thomas Dexter, of New Portland; sister, Claire Kiedrowski and husband, Rob Garster, of Stockton Springs; sister, Meg McLaughlin and husband, Shane, of Durham; nephews, Cameron and Tristan; stepsister, Allison Randle and husband, Brian, of Windham; nephews, Xavier and Dexter; niece, Grace; stepsister, Kristine Aldrin and husband, Erik, of Phoenix; and employer and family friend, Lenny Frohlich of Norridgewock. Her family wishes to thank the many healthcare professionals for their care and compassion during her illness. Catie fought her cancer with grace, courage and dignity. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our beautiful, dear sister and daughter.
A memorial Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, July 20, at Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, 273 Water St., Skowhegan, with a life celebration afterwards at the Parish hall.
