FORT KENT – Laurine Hebert, 82, died peacefully July 13, 2013, at an Eagle Lake health care facility. She was born May 14, 1931, the daughter of Emile and Rose Alma (Chasse) Bonenfant.
Laurine was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church. She was employed at the Sewing Shop in Fort Kent for more than 20 years. She married Adrien Hebert, Aug. 24, 1954. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne; the Columbiettes of Fort Kent, Fort Kent VFW Lozier O’Grady Post No. 9606 Ladies Auxiliary and the Fort Kent American Legion Martin-Klein Post 0133 Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by a brother, Maurice Bonenfant of Baker Brook, New Brunswick; a sister, Ferande Pelletier of Fort Kent; several nieces and nephews; three sisters-in-law, Yvette Hebert and Theresa Bonenfant, both of Fort Kent and Irene Labrie of Frenchville. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Adrien, May 10, 2004; and by her brothers, Roland and Roger.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, and 9 a.m. until time of services at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Committal services will be held at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Kent. In lieu of flowers those who wish may donate in her memory to Edgar J. Paradis Cancer Fund, 194 East Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743. Envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home.
