BREWER – Justine F. Jeskey, 78, went to be with the Lord, July 11, 2013, in Bangor, after a brief illness. She was born July 3, 1935, in Staceyville, daughter of Charles and Letha (Shaw) Hunt.
She and her husband were members of Calvary Baptist Church, Brewer, since 1961 where she was active in various ministries. She was also a very active volunteer for many years with the Hospital Chaplaincy Service, Newburgh. She was a stay at home mother and enjoyed baking and decorating cakes for special occasions such as weddings and birthdays. She was a resident of Ellen Leach Memorial Home, Brewer, for four and a half years where she had many friends and one very special aunt, Cynthia Hunt.
Surviving is two children, Melanie Pelletier and husband, Scott, of Orrington and David Jeskey and wife, Janet, of Bangor; eight grandchildren, Corey Jeskey and wife, Melinda, Garrett Jeskey and wife, Rita, Andrew Jeskey and wife, Alexandra, Claire Jeskey, Nicole Griffin and husband, Scott, Nicholas Pelletier and wife, Lacey, Daniel and wife, Natasha Jeskey, and Kaitlin Jeskey; great-granddaughters, Charlotte and Reese Jeskey; three great-grandsons, Kyle and Connor Griffin and David Godfrey; two brothers, Vernon Hunt and wife, Joanne, and Paul Hunt and wife, Mary; two sisters, Sandra Ackley and husband, Richard, and Sherry Snyder and husband, Henry; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John “Jack” Jeskey in 2006; son, Richard Jeskey in 2011; and brother, Walter Hunt in 1995.
Family and friends may visit 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 14, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor. A service honoring and celebrating her life will be held 1 p.m. Monday, at Calvary Baptist Church, 61 State St., Brewer, with the Rev. Roger Davis, pastor, and the Rev. Henry Snyder presiding. A time of fellowship and refreshments will be held immediately after the service in the lower auditorium. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, Route 15, North Bucksport.
