TAVARES, Fla. – Barbara H. (Gray) Trefethen, 87, wife of the late Ernest H. Trefethen, passed away March 16, 2013, in Tavares, Fla., after an extended illness. She was a resident of Hampden for more than 50 years. She was born Feb. 3, 1926, daughter of the late John L. and Agnes (Patterson) Gray.
She was predeceased by siblings, Helen Faulkner, Goldie Cooper, and Clyde and Boyd Gray. Barbara is survived by son, Rickey and wife, Pat Trefethen; granddaughters, Kelley and husband, Mike Bouchard, of Gorham, and Tracey and husband, Bill Campman, of Tallahassee, Fla.; and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters, Mrs. Beryl Marsh and Mrs. Bernice Ireland, both of Brewer; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held noon July 13 at Calvary Baptist Church, 61 State St., Brewer, with a committal service immediately after for the family at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer, with the Rev. Roger Davis, presiding. After the committal, friends may gather for a small reception that will be held in the fellowship hall located at Calvary Baptist Church, Center Street, Brewer, the building next to the railroad tracks.
