Damariscotta man seriously hurt after allegedly being dragged by vehicle in Wiscasset

WISCASSET, Maine — A Damariscotta man suffered serious injuries Wednesday morning when he was dragged by a vehicle near Wiscasset Town Hall.

Michael Hanna, 38, was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland after the incident, which occurred just before 9:30 a.m., according to a release from Wiscasset Police Chief Troy Cline.

Police arrived at the rear parking lot of the Town Hall to find Hanna on the pavement and bleeding. Witnesses told officers that after a Hanna was involved in a fight with another man, Hanna was dragged by the man’s car, according to the release.

Hanna was listed in serious condition at Maine Medical Center early Wednesday afternoon.

Cline said police do not know the identity of the other man involved in the incident. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is assisting in the investigation.
