FRANKFORT – Ricky “Rick” Adams died July 7, 2013, at his home. Rick was born March 26, 1961, in Bangor, beloved son of Tony Sr. and Eileen Adams.
Fondly called the “Mountain Man” Rick loved the outdoors and working on his land on Mount Waldo along with spending time with his family. He was a member of Franklin Street United Methodist Church. He had been a volunteer firefighter at the Orland Fire Department where he received a medal for his heroic actions at a fire.
Rick is survived by his wife, Kecia; children, Katie and husband, Brian, Corey, Jessie, Aaron and Wynn; grandchildren, Christopher, Meghan and Hailey; and expectant grandson in November; stepchildren, Cody and Kiley and husband, Ben; stepgrandchildren, Natalie, Hadley and Sawyer; siblings, Vickie and Tony II and wife, Andrea; and nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Rick was predeceased by his parental and maternal grandparents.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. July 13, at Franklin Street United Methodist Church, with Pastor Peter Remick officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Franklin Street United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1727, Bucksport, ME 04416.
