Bowdoinham man charged with sexual assault of 13-year-old girl

BOWDOINHAM, Maine — A 20-year-old Bowdoinham man was arrested at his home Tuesday night and charged with gross sexual assault.

Tre Pearson was taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset and held pending arraignment on Wednesday, according to Chief Deputy Brett Strout of the Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office.

Strout said a 13-year-old Bowdoinham girl and her parents reported that the incident occurred at Pearson’s home approximately two weeks ago, although the specific date was unclear.

Pearson was acquainted with the girl, according to Strout.

Pearson’s bail was not immediately available.
