HOLLIS, Maine — The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the disappearance of a Baldwin man who has a medical condition that puts him at risk, a press release about the missing man states.

David Buckley, 29, last was seen about 5:30 p.m. walking on Highway 202 in Waterboro heading toward Hollis. He was reported missing by his mother.

“There is great concern for his well being,” the press release from Capt. Craig Smith states. “Buckley suffers from a medical condition. He currently is not on any medications but due to his condition can easily be taken advantage of.”

Buckley is about 5 feet, 7 inches tall with brown hair and blue eyes. He has a beard and mustache and a scar on his chest from open-heart surgery, his mother told police.

He walks with a “strut” because he walks on the balls of his feet, she said.

Buckley has run away before and the last time was found at the Oxford Street Shelter in Portland, Smith said.

Those with information about the whereabouts of Buckley can contact Detective Brian Ackerman or Detective Sgt. Paul Thorpe of the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at 774-1444.
