WATERVILLE, Maine — A Waterville woman is facing a felony charge after threatening an ex-boyfriend with a knife on Friday evening, police said.

Lindsay Dangler, 29, had gone to the man’s Oak Street apartment and started banging and kicking on the door when he wouldn’t let her inside, Waterville Deputy Chief Charles Rumsey said.

Eventually, the man complied because he didn’t want his door damaged, Rumsey said, and when the man answered, Dangler brandished a small pocketknife.

Dangler waved the weapon around, cutting the victim on both of his hands. Rumsey said the cuts were minor.

Dangler, who was with a female friend, managed to escape out a window of the first-floor apartment, the deputy chief said. Dangler was also pushing her baby in a stroller.

Police were able to locate Dangler on Ticonic Street, near Oak Street, Rumsey said, and after all parties were interviewed, Dangler was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, a Class B felony.

Dangler was brought to Kennebec County Jail. Her first court appearance is July 30.
