Maine gas prices down 4 cents

BANGOR, Maine — The average price for a gallon of gas is $3.52, according to the website mainegasprices.com, a drop of more than 4 cents from this time last week, and a 5 cent drop over the past month.

However, the price per gallon is still about 12 cents more than at this time last year.

The figure is almost a cent cheaper than Sunday’s prices and just 2 cents higher than the national average.

According to the website, which monitors prices at more than 1,200 gas stations across the state, the price was about $3.40 per gallon one year ago, and about $3.57 a month ago.
