WOODLAND — Motor City pounded out 17 hits Wednesday evening on its way to a 19-0 Zone 1 American Legion baseball victory over Calais.
Motor City (3-4) was led at the plate by Tyler Neville who had a single, double and sacrifice fly along with four RBIs. Tyler Eddy had two doubles and an RBI and Gabe Melmed contributed two doubles, two singles and two runs scored.
Shawn Curran scored four runs for Motor City and Ryan Gagne singled three times. Cody Collins picked up the win, tossing six innings of two-hit ball with 11 strikeouts and one walk.
Josh Cushing singled twice for Calais (0-6).

At Heddericg Field in Brewer, Carter DeRedin scattered five hits and two earned runs through six innings to lead the Falcons to victory.
DeRedin struck out seven for 3-4 Brewer, which was paced by a single, a double and three RBIs from Nick Moore and two singles and four RBIs from Kyle Alexander. Chase Allen contributed two singles and two RBIs.
Brandon Spratt sparked the offense for 4-4 Penquis with three singles and one RBI. Abe Simpson posted a double.
