Proof: For many rape victims in Maine, justice comes only from being believed

For survivors of rape and sexual assault, the crime is often just the beginning of years of silent suffering. In a Bangor Daily News multimedia project, three Maine survivors share what happened to them when no one else was looking. By ending their own silence, they hope to encourage more people to seek the help they need.
