ROCKLAND, Maine — A 27-year-old transient was arrested Wednesday night, accused of attacking another man with a stick.

Jeremy Dennison was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, domestic violence assault, and two counts of criminal mischief, according to Deputy Rockland Police Chief Wally Tower.

Officers responded shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a domestic dispute on upper Rankin Street. After investigating, officers obtained arrest warrants for Dennison and arrested him.

He was taken to the Knox County Jail in Rockland and remained there Thursday morning. His initial court appearance is scheduled for Friday afternoon.

The alleged victim suffered scratches to his face, according to Tower.
