BLUE HILL — Ben Walls pitched a five-hit shutout and struck out four to spark the Trenton Acadians to a 4-0 American Legion baseball victory over Brewer Monday at the Blue Hill Fairgrounds.
Steven Mahon singled twice for Trenton, including once during the Acadians’ three-run sixth inning. Jon Phelps also singled in the uprising, which included an RBI double by Walls and Steve Hanscom’s run-scoring single.
Tyler Maguire, Chase Allen, Kyle Alexander, Chris Coleman and John Stanhope all had singles for Brewer. Brendan Moore scattered six hits with two strikeouts in six innings.

Hampden 18, Lumber 9
At Lincoln, Justin Kasperzak recorded four RBI with a home run and a single to power Hampden by the Northern Lumber on Monday.
Shawn Smith chipped in with two doubles, a single and two RBI for Hampden while Will Perkins added two singles, a double and RBI. Spencer Hartsgrove contributed with two doubles, a single and two RBI.
Dustin Sawtelle and A.J. MacEachern each singled twice for the Lumber, with MacEachern driving in a run.
