BANGOR, Maine — A local man is facing multiple charges after stealing drugs from a Finson Road residence on Saturday morning, according to police.

Brian Ouellette, 36, is an apparent acquaintance of the victim, according to Jason McAmbley, the Bangor Police Department’s Public Relations Officer.

McAmbley said it’s unclear how Ouellette got into the victim’s home, but there was no forced entry. Police were called to the scene around 10:30 a.m., McAmbley said.

After entering the home, Ouellette stole an undisclosed amount of medical marijuana and called a mutual acquaintance warning the victim not to call police, McAmbley said.

The victim did contact police, and Ouellette was arrested, McAmbley said. He is charged with burglary and tampering with a victim or witness, both Class B felonies, and theft, a Class E misdemeanor.

Ouellette remained at the Penobscot County Jail Monday morning.
