NEWCASTLE, Maine — Seacoast Energy Solutions on Monday announced it had acquired TempControl in Damariscotta as part of its ongoing growth strategy.

Seacoast Energy Solutions was founded in 2002 as a fuel provider to residential and commercial customers. TempControl was founded in 1982 and provides installation and maintenance on heating and air conditioning equipment.

“This is part of a strategic shift toward delivering more sales and service solutions to our customers,” Casey Pratt, owner and CEO of Seacoast Energy Solutions, said in a statement. “We are evolving from being simply a fuel delivery company that provides limited service options to a fully integrated service provider that offers fuel as well.”

The entire staff at TempControl and its entire infrastructure are included in the acquisition, and the transition was complete on June 17, according to a news release.

Seacoast Energy Solutions has served customers in Boothbay, Newcastle and Wiscasset, but will expand to the entire midcoast, which was TempControl’s service area, the release said.

The company’s headquarters will be located on Route 1 in Newcastle.
