Owen L. Clark

DEXTER – Owen L. Clark, 77, passed away June 11, 2013, as the result of respiratory failure at a Bangor hospital. He was born Oct. 18, 1935, in Dexter, and was a lifelong resident of Dexter.

Owen attended Ricker Classical Institute, Houlton. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of American Legion. Owen worked as a carpenter and millwright, and was a supervisor at Cianbro. He enjoyed Maine’s outdoors, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. The Clark household was home to many cats throughout the years, as Owen was a true cat lover.

He is survived by his biological daughter, Renee Page of Farmingdale; and several cousins, including Dennis “Sonny” Cleaves of Pittsfield. Owen was predeceased by his mother, Helen Haskell; and father, Herbert Aucock.

Friends may call 10 a.m.-noon Thursday, June 20, at Crosby and Neal, 61 Main St., Dexter. After the visiting hours, a graveside service with military honors will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
