HOULTON – Joanne Frances Cunliffe, 59, died June 13, 2013, at a local health care facility. She was born April 29, 1954, in Houlton, daughter of Raymond and Frances (Plourde) Cunliffe.
Joanne attended Houlton schools and was a 1972 graduate of Houlton High School and a communicant of Saint Mary of the Visitation Church. Joanne worked for and was great friends with Gene Bartley of Steelstone Industries for 33 years. She enjoyed going to camp and fishing with family and friends. Substitute bowling, family barbeques, playing cards at her parent’s house and being a special aunt to her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews were some of Joanne’s greatest loves.
She is survived by her mother, Fran; brother, Matthew Cunliffe; seven sisters, Debbie Douglass and husband, Paul, Brenda Duff and husband, Joseph, Dianne Lincoln and husband, Roger “Bud,” Cindy Veysey and husband, Laurel, Sandra Duffy and husband, Lawrence, Kathy Joseph and husband, John, and Crystal Gallop and husband, Shane; special brother, Mike Prosser; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Ray “Razor”; sister, Linda Prosser; and nephew, Mark Bruso.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday, at Dunn Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. David Raymond celebrant. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
