ROCKLAND, Maine — A 49-year-old Camden man was fined $250 Thursday after being convicted of exposing himself to female workers inside a convenience store.
Gary M. White pleaded no contest to indecent conduct during a hearing in Rockland District Court before Judge Patricia Worth.
Police reported that two young female clerks at Kaler’s Korner Store in Rockland reported that White exposed his genitals to them shortly after 8 p.m. March 4 and then left the store. They reported the incident to police who later found and charged White.
Assistant District Attorney Christopher Fernald said the victims in the case wanted to make sure there was a conviction so that White’s actions would be on record. He said they were not as concerned about what sentence he received. Indecent conduct is a Class E crime punishable by a maximum of six months in jail.
A no contest plea results in a conviction but does not require the defendant to admit guilt.
