Bath Walgreens pharmacy robbed Friday afternoon

By Beth Brogan, BDN Staff

BATH, Maine — Bath police are searching for a man they say robbed the Walgreens Pharmacy on State Road Friday afternoon and stole an undisclosed amount of prescription medication.

Just before 2 p.m., a white male allegedly entered the store, went directly to the pharmacy, threatened the employees and demanded prescription medications, Bath Police Lt. Robert Savary said in a release. The man then fled the store with the medication.

Savary said no weapon was involved. He declined to release the nature of the threat.

The man is described as in his early 20s, of thin build and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, jeans and green ball cap. He is reportedly driving a silver or champagne-colored sport utility vehicle, possibly a Chevrolet Trailblazer.

Police are also searching for a white woman seen on videotape who they believe has knowledge of the incident.

Anyone with information about the crime should call Bath police at 443-5563.
