Dube, Coon, accused in separate slayings, to be arraigned Wednesday

BANGOR, Maine — The man accused of slaying a 15-year-old Glenburn girl, and a man charged in connection with the death of his girlfriend are scheduled to be arraigned at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Penobscot Judicial Center.

Kyle Dube, 20, of Orono, expected to plead not guilty to one count each of kidnapping and murder. He is accused of luring Nichole Cable out of mother’s home by using someone else’s identity on Facebook, then, killing her in an abduction gone wrong.

David Coon, 50, of Bangor, is expected to plead not guilty to a murder charge in connection with the strangling death of his live-in girlfriend, Sherry Clifford, 49, on May 3 at the couple’s Jefferson Street apartment.

Both men were indicted May 29 by the Penobscot County grand jury.
