Parkinson’s support group
BANGOR — The Parkinson’s support group for those with Parkinson’s Disease and their caregivers will meet 2-4 p.m. Sunday, June 16 at Acadia Hospital, 268 Stillwater Ave.

Resource Fair for adults living with mental illness
BANGOR — Community Health and Counseling Services’ WIN Program (Wellness Integration Now) will host a Resource Fair for adults living with a mental illness 10 a.m.-noon Monday, June 17, 42 Cedar St.
The event will focus on educating the mental health consumers of the various resources
available within their community. Displays will highlight health and wellness practices that support a healthy lifestyle and healthy choices. Other providers expected to participate include Caring Connections, Together Place, Maine Mental Health Connections, City of Bangor and Food and Medicine. Health screenings will be available at the event.
The WIN Program focuses on helping adults with a serious mental illness improve their physical health and overall wellness. CHCS has partnered with St. Joseph Healthcare to provide this service to its consumers onsite.

Grant to mental health organization
BANGOR — Kathleen M. Hayden, vice president and branch manager, Bangor Savings Bank, presented members of Penobscot Community Health Care’s Unlimited Solutions Clubhouse
with a check for $1,000 on May 31.
Solutions Clubhouse received a high number of write-in votes as part of the Community Matters More Campaign to win the funding.
Unlimited Solutions Clubhouse focuses on recovery from mental illness through the use of a therapeutic environment that includes responsibilities within the Clubhouse and outside the Clubhouse. The model features work and membership as primary methods for providing individuals with opportunities in employment, housing, education, skill development and social activities.
