Rella Cyr

MADAWASKA – Rella Cyr, 83, died unexpectedly as a result of a motor vehicle accident June 10, 2013. She was born Sept. 17, 1929, in Grand Isle, daughter of the late Emile and Deline (Cyr) St. Amant.

Rella enjoyed shopping, playing bingo and trips to Hollywood Slots. She was a faithful communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and a member of America Legion Auxiliary. Her greatest love was her family, especially spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by daughter, Pat Bourgoin and husband, Mike, of Madawaska; three sons, Richard Cyr and wife, Lorraine, of Frenchville, Jim Cyr and wife, Linda, of St. David, and Peter Cyr and wife, Sandra, of Madawaska; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three stepsisters, Bertha, Loretta and Cecile; four stepbrothers, Paul, Valere, Clarence and Richard; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Rosaire Cyr in 2009; grandson, Travis Cyr; and by several siblings.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, June 13, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may call 2-2:45 p.m. Thursday, at Lajoie Funeral Home. Interment will be held immediately after the service at the Parish cemetery. Contributions in Rella’s memory may be made to Edgar J.
