Man sought after woman stabbed in Augusta

AUGUSTA, Maine — Police are looking for a man suspected of stabbing a woman at around 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

David Delesline, 44, could be charged with elevated aggravated assault, according to a release from Augusta police. Police said the woman suffered  cuts to her face and head.

Delesline is believed to have been at the scene when the 35-year-old woman was stabbed but fled before police arrived. The woman was flown by LifeFlight to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
