MADAWASKA – John Daigle, 80, passed away June 7, 2013, at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born July 30, 1932, in Madawaska, son of the late Oscar and Delphine (Robichaud) Daigle.
He was a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and was a fourth degree member of Knights of Columbus, Council No. 0366, Madawaska. He was a lifetime member of American Legion, Post No. 147, Madawaska. John was an avid fisherman and enjoyed being outdoors. He was a die hard Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed watching many games on tv. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Patricia (Parent) Daigle of Madawaska; two daughters, Karen Lavoie and husband, Gary, of Carmel, and Louise Everett of Old Town; two sons, John Daigle and wife, Darlene, of Concord, N.H., and Philip Daigle of Houlton; eight grandchildren, Nathan, Emily, Lauryn, Kristyn, Danielle, Joshua, Damian and Naomi; two sisters, Laura Mae Corriveau of Fort Kent, and Ruth Thompson of Albuquerque, N.M.; two brothers, Ron Daigle and Carrol Daigle both of Madawaska; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, June 13, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may offer their condolences 9-9:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will take place immediately after the Mass at the Parish cemetery. Contributions in John’s memory may be made to Edgar J.
