Pavement upgrades to close Maine Turnpike Scarborough ramps

By Ryan McLaughlin, BDN Staff

SCARBOROUGH, Maine — Pavement upgrades are slated to continue at the Scarborough Maine Turnpike interchange this weekend, according to turnpike officials.

Maine Turnpike Authority spokesman Dan Morin said ramp closures will occur between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. at Exit 42.

Both Exit 42 on-ramps will be closed along with the southbound off-ramp, according to Morin.

More ramp closures at Exit 42 and at Exit 45, the Maine Mall interchange, are expected next week, Morin said. Motorists should consider alternate routes.

Motorists can log onto www.maineturnpike.com, call 800-675-PIKE (7453) and check MTA pages on Twitter and Facebook for updates.
