Moose Muse makes for great art

The Center for Moosehead History in Greenville wants the muse of the moose to inspire artists young and older alike to enter its “Moose Masterpieces” art show.

The Moose Masterpieces Art Show is part of the Moose Lottery Festival, being held June 14-16 at the Center in Greenville.

Any two-dimensional or three-dimensional work in any medium except photography is eligible. The art can be matted or framed, but the theme must relate to moose. Entrants may submit up to two pieces of art, and entries must be hand-delivered by June 7 at 3 p.m.

All art submitted will be put into the Moose Masterpieces exhibit. Awards will be given in the following categories:

• Pre-kindergarten-grade 1;

• Grades 2-4;

• Grades 5-8;

• High school;

• Adult;

• Best of show;

• Peoples choice.

Art entries may be picked up from 10 a.m.-4 p.m, June 20-21.
