Police searching for man who robbed Lisbon store at knifepoint

LISBON, Maine — Police are looking for a man they say entered the Big Apple Store on Lisbon Street late Wednesday night, displayed a knife and demanded cash from the clerk.

According to Lisbon Police Detective Bill Tapley, at approximately 11:31 p.m., a suspect entered the Big Apple Store located at 634 Lisbon St. in Lisbon Falls, “brandished a knife and demanded cash from the clerk. The suspect left the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was hurt during the incident.”

The suspect was described to polices as a white male possibly in his early 20s, approximately 5-foot-6-inches to 5-foot-8-inches tall, weighing between 150 and 160 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans and his face was covered by a gray mask.
